Soft spring wheat AMURSKAYA 1495® is a mid-late variety of grain wheat intended for cultivation in the Far East and the Southern forest-steppe of the Chelyabinsk region. The vegetative period ranges from 72 to 90 days, making the variety slightly later in maturation compared to regional standard varieties. Stems are upright, the straw is hollow, and the ear is pyramidal and loose with a white color. The mass of 1000 grains varies within 34-38 grams; the grain is egg-shaped with a long awn and is colored. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging and medium resistance to diseases such as brown rust, although it requires seed treatment due to susceptibility to powdery bunt. Yield in the region averages 22 centners per hectare. The wheat belongs to the erythrospermum type and is characterized by good baking qualities, with protein content ranging from 13 to 14% and gluten content from 15 to 27%, allowing for the production of high-quality flour and bread. AMURSKAYA 1495® has a medium-height type and drought resistance comparable to regional varieties. Morphological features include a flag leaf with weak waxy bloom and medium anthocyanin pigmentation of the glumes, as well as a specific shape of the lower glume with a wide slanted shoulder and a long slightly curved tooth. These characteristics contribute to the variety's adaptation to climatic conditions and ensure stable grain quality.
