Hard spring wheat of the Amazonka variety is a medium-maturing variety with a medium-height plant, ranging from 74 to 97 cm in height. The ear is pyramidal in shape, white in color, of medium length and density, with white awns distributed along the entire length of the ear. The grain is elongated with a short awn, while the mass of 1000 grains ranges from 40 to 48 grams. The plant is characterized by weak or absent pubescence on the upper node and first leaf, as well as medium and strong waxy coating on various parts of the plant, which contributes to its resistance to adverse conditions. The Amazonka variety is distinguished by its high winter hardiness and drought resistance, making it suitable for cultivation in various regions, including the Zaporizhzhia region, the North Caucasus region, as well as the Prikrai, Southern, and Eastern zones of the Rostov region and Krasnodar Krai. The average yield of the variety is about 46 c/ha, while under favorable conditions, maximum indicators reached 74.7 c/ha. Amazonka demonstrates resistance to lodging under normal conditions, but is prone to it in years of excessive moisture and when crops are thickened. The variety is recommended for sowing on a high agro-background and is distinguished by satisfactory pasta qualities of the grain, which makes it in demand for the production of pasta products.
