Vika – a highly effective variety of grain wheat intended for sowing in spring (April–May). The variety is characterized by high germination rates up to 90% under optimal conditions and good resistance to diseases and pests. At temperatures of 15–20 °C and soil moisture of 60–70%, the germination area is 70–80%. Yield reaches 8.5 t/ha, with an average yield of 7.2 t/ha.
Grain quality is characterized by a white color and medium density. Protein content ranges from 12–13%, making it valuable for the food industry. Vika shows high resistance to powdery blotch disease, root rot, and viruses (psuevirus), and adapts well to various climatic conditions.
For successful cultivation, sowing is recommended in fertile soil with good drainage and pH 6.0–7.5. During sowing, a combined application of nitrogen (10–12 g/ha) and phosphorus (5–8 g/ha) is required. Seeds can be stored for up to 18 months at a temperature of 0–4 °C and 15% moisture. Due to its characteristics, Vika is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high yields and stable grain quality.
