Vegetable Pea Falcon

High-yield vegetable pea cultivation: why Belgian genetics matter

Selecting the right variety of vegetable pea is a balance between productivity and production efficiency. The "Falcon" variety from the Belgian company Agro seeds service BVBA is designed for commercial farms focused on high-quality produce with predictable harvest windows and strong resistance to key field pathogens.

Agronomic Profile and Growing Cycle

With a growing period of 105–109 days, "Falcon" provides growers with the operational flexibility needed for industrial conveyor-belt harvesting. Whether the end goal is deep-freezing or canning, this variety is optimized to reach its full yield potential while reducing the complexity of the fungicide program, allowing for better cost control in high-intensity farming environments.

Phytosanitary Resilience: A Key Operational Asset

The primary advantage of the "Falcon" variety is its robust, built-in protection against common pea diseases, which directly impacts the bottom line by reducing the need for intensive chemical applications:

• Downy Mildew (Peronospora): High resistance levels provide critical security during humid spring conditions.
• Rust: The genetic composition of this variety by Agro seeds service BVBA significantly simplifies disease management protocols.
• Phomopsis and Powdery Mildew: Strong resistance prevents early senescence and pod damage, ensuring higher harvest quality during the grain-filling stage.

In field conditions, "Falcon" has proven its ability to perform well under intensive cultivation systems, maintaining uniform pod maturity and high grain quality. It is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to minimize yield loss risks from outbreaks of disease, ensuring consistent production performance even under unpredictable seasonal weather conditions.
