Vegetable Pea TWINSET

Why Twinset is a professional choice

The Twinset vegetable pea from the Czech seed company Semo focuses on high yield concentration. Unlike standard varieties where pod maturation is spread out, Twinset demonstrates excellent uniformity, which is critical for obtaining high-quality commercial yields in a short timeframe.

Biological traits and productivity

This is a mid-season variety with a vegetation period of 70-80 days. The hybrid's main advantage is its pod. A length of 8-9 cm combined with a blunt shape allows it to house 8-10 large, high-quality peas. This high grain density makes it extremely efficient for both commercial farming and home gardening.

Disease resistance as a foundation for yield

The main risk in pea cultivation is fungal and viral pathogens that can destroy a crop before pod filling begins. Twinset resolves this issue through strong genetic immunity:

• Fusarium wilt is no longer a death sentence for your field.
• The variety is resistant to the pea mosaic virus, preventing leaf deformation and stunted growth.
• Comprehensive protection against powdery mildew allows the plant to maintain photosynthetic activity even under stressful conditions.

Target audience for this variety

Twinset is optimal for growers seeking a balance between ease of maintenance and crop quality. Thanks to its inherent disease resistance, it requires fewer fungicide applications, which gives it a significant edge over less advanced varieties. Its large seed size and excellent taste profile make it a favorite for both industrial freezing and fresh consumption.
