Field pea Bingo

Premium quality pea production with Bingo

The «Bingo» variety from Syngenta represents a high-performance choice for commercial pea growers who prioritize seed size consistency and plant health. Developed by the renowned Swiss breeder, this hybrid is engineered to meet the stringent requirements of both fresh market demand and the processing industry.

Agronomic performance and resistance profile

With a vegetation period of 80–90 days, «Bingo» offers a balanced growth cycle suitable for efficient farm management and harvest scheduling. A standout feature of this hybrid is its built-in genetic resistance to downy mildew (Peronospora) and its effective tolerance to powdery mildew. This resilience significantly lowers the necessity for intensive fungicide programs, allowing producers to optimize input costs while maintaining crop vigor.

Key technical specifications of the harvest:

• Large seed size: 200–220 grams per 1000 seeds, providing excellent marketability.
• Pod structure: 9–10 cm in length, optimized for mechanical harvesting.
• High yield components: 6–7 seeds per pod, ensuring a high yield per hectare.

Practical application for modern farming

«Bingo» performs best in fertile, well-drained soils, showing exceptional uniformity in emergence and development. This uniformity is crucial for farming operations that depend on mechanical harvesting, as it ensures that the crop reaches maturity at the same time, minimizing losses. Its robust canopy development helps suppress early-stage weed competition, allowing the crop to establish quickly and effectively.

Whether for freezing, canning, or fresh packaging, the physical characteristics of the «Bingo» pea make it a reliable asset for any professional agricultural operation. By choosing Syngenta genetics, growers invest in proven, high-yielding materials that deliver consistent results under managed field conditions.
