Tulip Jan van Nes

Engineering and Growth Dynamics

The 'Jan van Nes' tulip belongs to the Triumph class, a designation that guarantees an ideal synergy between stem rigidity and bud geometry. Designed for both aesthetic appeal and structural endurance, this variety features a high-stature stem capable of withstanding environmental stressors, effectively preventing lodging during the peak of the blooming season.

Technical Specifications

• Classification: Triumph Tulip.
• Blooming Schedule: Late season.
• Visual Architecture: Vibrant yellow, classic goblet-shaped bloom with high petal density.
• Morphology: High-growing variety, requiring specific spacing to ensure optimal airflow and light distribution.

The biological integrity of 'Jan van Nes' lies in its resilient petal tissue, which maintains its architectural form despite temperature fluctuations in late spring. The structural density of the flower ensures that the goblet remains tight and well-defined, minimizing the risk of premature opening. For growers, the genetic potential of this cultivar allows for significant biomass development, provided nitrogen levels are regulated early in the vegetative cycle.

This variety is highly valued for professional forcing and landscape design alike. Its high-quality bulb structure supports robust energy reserves, leading to consistent performance even in varying soil conditions. With its reliable height and intense coloration, 'Jan van Nes' provides a predictable and high-performance solution for late-spring displays.
