Tulip Jan Seignette

A Benchmark of the Triumph Class

The 'Jan Seignette' tulip stands as a classic representative of the Triumph group, a category that has anchored the professional forcing and landscaping market for decades. Developed through rigorous selection, this variety successfully bridges the gap between sophisticated, goblet-shaped aesthetics and robust physiological resilience.

Biological Integrity and Disease Resistance

A primary driver of the variety's market popularity is its genetically inherent resistance to a spectrum of common pathogens. In both field conditions and commercial greenhouse environments, these tulips exhibit a high level of defense against:

• Anthracnose
• Gray mold (Botrytis)
• Downy mildew
• Powdery mildew

This natural durability drastically reduces the reliance on systemic fungicides, positioning 'Jan Seignette' as an attractive option for growers focused on sustainable agricultural practices.

Visual Profile and Market Application

The bloom features a distinct dual-tone palette: a striking interplay of deep red and vibrant yellow. As a mid-season flowering variety, it serves a critical role in the seasonal transition, bridging the gap between early and late-blooming selections to ensure landscape continuity. With a stable, medium-height stem, the variety maintains excellent vertical integrity and structural resistance, even under challenging weather conditions.

In the trade, 'Jan Seignette' is highly regarded for its predictable vegetation cycle and impressive vase life. These traits make it a staple for commercial flower producers seeking reliability, as well as a favorite for discerning garden designers looking for a dependable performer.
