Chrysanthemum Multiflora is a hybrid of Korean chrysanthemum and Chrysanthemum indicum, forming a compact bush 50-70 cm tall and 40-60 cm in diameter. The plant's color palette is diverse and includes white, yellow, orange, red, pink, lavender, and purple shades. The flowers are small, 2-5 cm in diameter, giving the bush an elegant and neat appearance. The leaves are dark green, arranged alternately, with simple shapes and margins that are entire, serrated, notched, or lobed. The root system is strong and branched, located in the upper 25-cm layer of soil. The plant is highly winter-hardy, allowing it to be grown outdoors throughout Ukraine, including climate zones from 5a to 7b. In harsh winters, it is recommended to cover the chrysanthemum with agrofabric or other protective materials to preserve the health of the bush. Chrysanthemum prefers sunny locations, as it loses its shape and stops flowering in shade. The optimal soil for it is neutral with good drainage, as the plant does not tolerate waterlogged conditions. Chrysanthemum Multiflora is widely used in landscape design due to its decorative appeal and color diversity. It is used to create low-growing flowering hedges, vibrant autumn compositions, and is also planted in pots on terraces and balconies. Additionally, the plant looks excellent in alpine gardens and specialized chrysanthemum gardens, adding richness and beauty during its autumn blooming period, which lasts from September to November.
