Tulip Roulette

Technical Profile of the 'Roulette' Tulip

The 'Roulette' variety belongs to the Triumph class, which dictates the structure of the bloom and the functional stability of the stem. The technical design of this hybrid is optimized for professional cultivation in greenhouse environments and landscaping, emphasizing structural integrity.

Biological Defense and Immunity

The key advantage of 'Roulette' is its selective resistance to critical pathogens that limit bulb crop yields:

• Downy Mildew (Peronospora): The dense leaf cuticle prevents the penetration of zoospores during high-humidity periods.
• Ascochyta blight: A genetically determined barrier prevents the spread of necrosis during the early stages of vegetation.
• Powdery Mildew: Reduced susceptibility allows for a reduction in the number of fungicide applications without compromising aesthetic quality.

Flowering Characteristics

The late flowering period is due to the specific metabolic processes of the hybrid, requiring strict temperature control during forced growth. The classically shaped goblet, colored in an intense red, retains its geometry even under fluctuating light conditions. The medium height of the plant ensures high resistance to lodging, which is critical when producing commercial batches for cutting.
