Tulip Verandi

Verandi: A Triumph class tulip with unmatched resilience

For professional growers, the Verandi tulip is a standout choice in the Triumph category, primarily due to its robust resistance profile. While many tulips are prone to soil-borne pathogens, Verandi demonstrates high tolerance against Fusarium, Cladosporium, and root rot. Furthermore, its resistance to Tobacco Mosaic Virus ensures higher yields and fewer losses during the critical growth phase, making it a reliable workhorse for commercial greenhouses.

Appearance and performance

Verandi is visually striking, featuring a deep, sophisticated blend of red and lilac hues on its petals. As a tall-stemmed variety, it produces a classic, elegant bloom typical of the Triumph class. The flower is structurally sound, maintaining its shape and firmness even during transport, which is essential for maintaining market value upon delivery.

Pros and considerations

• Advantages: Superior disease resistance significantly reduces the need for heavy fungicide application. Its strong stems ensure consistent quality for cut flower production.
• Considerations: Requires precise temperature management during the forcing process to ensure the color intensity of the lilac undertones is fully realized.

Verandi is the optimal solution for producers who value consistency and health over fragile, high-maintenance varieties. By choosing this hybrid, you are investing in a proven, high-performing asset that balances aesthetic appeal with operational reliability.
