Tulip First Love

A Compact Statement for Your Spring Garden

The Greigii tulip 'First Love' is a choice for those who value low-growing, striking varieties to create crisp garden borders and accentuate the foreground of flower beds. Unlike most tall tulips prone to lodging during wind, this variety boasts a sturdy, short stem and high resistance to a range of pathogens, including Fusarium, Verticillium, and Cladosporium.

Color Palette and Distinctive Features

The uniqueness of this variety lies in the deep transition of petal hues. Red tones blend harmoniously with lilac undertones, creating visual depth even on cloudy days. Belonging to the mid-season blooming group, this tulip acts as a perfect bridge between early botanical species and late-flowering hybrids.

Why Choose 'First Love':

• Plant Health: Genetic resistance to the Tobacco Mosaic Virus and leaf spot (Cladosporium) significantly reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications.
• Structural Stability: The short stature makes it highly resistant to harsh weather, which is critical for exposed garden areas.
• Aesthetic Appeal: Large, distinct blooms typical of the Greigii class stand out significantly compared to smaller varieties in this segment.

This variety is optimal for landscape designers working with rock gardens or container gardening. Its natural hardiness ensures peace of mind regarding soil-borne fungal issues, which frequently plague traditional garden tulips.
