Chrysanthemum Calunut

A Compact Accent for Your Garden

The 'Kalunut' chrysanthemum is an Ukrainian-bred selection that has gained a reputation for its exceptional architecture. This low-growing variety (up to 30 cm) was designed as a versatile ornamental plant for both open ground and container gardening. Unlike traditional tall varieties, 'Kalunut' maintains a perfect spherical shape, making it a favorite among landscape designers for creating borders and vibrant patches of color.

Features and Ornamental Qualities

• Visual Profile: The blossoms have a distinctive petal-rich structure. The color palette ranges from vibrant yellow to deep orange, making it suitable for both mono-plantings and complex landscape compositions.
• Endurance: The variety demonstrates impressive resilience, with a blooming period exceeding 40 days.
• Requirements: The plant reaches its full potential in sunny locations. In partial shade, the stems may stretch, losing their signature compact habit.

Landscape Application

With its height capped at 30 cm, 'Kalunut' is an ideal choice for pots, planters, and balcony boxes. It requires minimal pruning to maintain an aesthetic appearance throughout the season. This generation of chrysanthemums is tailored for those who value predictable results: planting this variety guarantees a stable, blooming "orange-yellow carpet" that resists sagging under heavy rain and retains its decorative appeal right up until the first frost.
