Tulip Zurel

Elegant Contrast for Your Garden

The ‘Zurel’ tulip is a standout member of the Triumph class, favored for its striking bi-color palette. Its petals feature a deep lilac base with crisp white edges, creating a visual depth that makes it a focal point in any spring arrangement. With its tall, sturdy stem and perfect goblet-shaped bloom, this variety is a top choice for both professional cut-flower production and high-end landscaping.

Agricultural Resilience

What sets ‘Zurel’ apart from many other decorative tulips is its robust health profile. Breeders have developed a high resistance to common bulb diseases, making it a reliable performer in various climates:

• Fusarium and Root Rots: This variety shows high resistance to soil-borne pathogens, significantly reducing losses in damp soil conditions.
• Powdery Mildew: The dense, leathery texture of the leaves and petals prevents fungal colonization even during sudden temperature fluctuations.
• Wheat Brown Rust: Excellent foliage resistance ensures the plant maintains its aesthetic appeal throughout the entire vegetation period.

As a mid-season bloomer, ‘Zurel’ acts as the perfect transition between early and late spring varieties. While highly resilient to pathogens, it thrives best in sunny spots sheltered from strong winds, as its tall stature can be vulnerable to heavy gusts.

Who Should Choose ‘Zurel’?

‘Zurel’ is ideal for gardeners and professionals who demand a high-quality result without constant fungicide applications. It is a workhorse variety: it boasts a long vase life, does not fade under direct sunlight, and features a strong stem, which simplifies transport and floral design work.
