Triticale Obriy Myronivskyi

Engineering Approach to Winter Triticale Breeding

"Horizont Myronivskyi" is a result of advanced selection efforts by the V.M. Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat of the NAAS. It is a highly specialized tool designed for agricultural enterprises focused on yield stability, particularly in regions with high infection pressure.

Biological Defense and Immune Potential

The primary advantage of this variety is its complex resistance to pathogens integrated at the genetic level. Under field conditions, "Horizont Myronivskyi" demonstrates high resistance to the following threats:

• Fungal diseases: effective protection against Mycosphaerella leaf spot and Fusarium head blight.
• Leaf apparatus: strong tolerance to brown spot and powdery mildew.
• Specific pathogens: breeding was targeted at suppressing brown rust of wheat and various plant rusts.

This resistance profile allows agronomists to optimize fungicide expenditures significantly, reducing chemical loads on crops while maintaining high grain quality.

Operational Characteristics

As a winter-type variety, it ensures optimal moisture utilization during the autumn-spring period, which is critical for Ukrainian steppe and forest-steppe zones. The genetic architecture allows the plant to efficiently redistribute nutrients during the grain filling stage, ensuring high ear fullness even under stressful weather conditions. The stability of this triticale is rooted in selective breeding for endurance during critical development phases, making "Horizont Myronivskyi" a reliable component in crop rotation for high-quality forage or technical grain production.
