Lorette — an early variety of table beet developed by the French company Tezier. The vegetative period of this variety is about 60 days, allowing for harvest within a short time. The plant features a small leaf rosette with dark green leaves. The roots of the Lorette variety are uniform, round, and smooth, with a rich burgundy color, without distinct rings, and with a fine "tail." The root mass varies from 180 to 330 grams. The variety is resistant to bolting and does not overgrow in the field, which simplifies cultivation and harvesting. Lorette beet has excellent taste qualities, with a dry matter content of 11.8% and sugar content of 7.1%, making it especially attractive for culinary use. Thanks to these indicators, the roots have a sweet flavor and juicy flesh, allowing their use fresh, as well as for storage and processing. For successful cultivation of this variety, light, fertile soils with neutral reaction and well-lit areas are recommended. Agronomic practices include preparing furrows, watering, and sowing seeds followed by soil covering. It is recommended to conduct feedings during growth to increase yield and fruit quality. The Lorette variety is suitable for early harvest and is characterized by stability and reliability under various climatic conditions.
