EASTERN EXPRESS

The 'Eastern Express' eggplant variety is an early-maturing and high-yield hybrid suitable for growing both in open ground and under film coverings. The plant reaches a height of about 70 cm, has a sprawling form with purple-green leaves with indented edges. The fruits are cylindrical, smooth and glossy, dark purple in color, weighing from 150 to 250 grams and measuring 20-22 cm in length. They are distinguished by the absence of bitterness and hollows, making them universal for culinary use.

The variety is characterized by high cold hardiness and resistance to sharp temperature fluctuations, allowing for successful cultivation in various climatic conditions. High fruit setting ensures a guaranteed early and abundant yield with an indicator of 3.4-4.2 kg per square meter. For planting, it is recommended to use seedlings aged 60-65 days, transplanting them into open ground after the threat of frost, typically from May 15 to 20. The optimal planting scheme provides a distance between rows of 60-65 cm and 30-35 cm between plants, with no more than 4-6 plants per square meter to avoid overcrowding and reduced yield.

For successful cultivation of the 'Eastern Express' variety, regular watering, fertilizing, and soil loosening are required. The sowing depth of seeds is 1.5-2 cm. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and resistance to unfavorable conditions, this eggplant variety is popular among gardeners and farmers seeking an early and quality harvest.
