EGYPTIAN FLAT

Egyptian flat table beet is a mid-season vegetable with a growing period from 95 to 120 days, allowing for harvest within three to four months after seedling emergence. This variety is characterized by high yield — up to 7-8 kg per square meter — as well as resistance to bolting and common diseases, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various agro-climatic conditions and on different soil types. The beet grows well in both cool weather and under high solar activity, expanding planting possibilities, including winter sowing for early harvest in the next season.

Roots of the Egyptian flat variety have a characteristic flattened shape with a depression up to half the width, smooth skin of dark red color with a purple hue, and a weight from 200 to 400 grams. The flesh is juicy and sweet, making the beet versatile for various preparation methods: it can be eaten raw, thermally processed, pickled, or used for long-term storage. Young plant leaves are also suitable for adding to soups and salads, enriching the diet with vitamins and minerals.
