Table beet variety MARUSYA is a mid-maturing variety with a maturity period of 90-100 days. The root crops have an oval shape and dark red color without rings, with a small leaf rosette. The flesh is burgundy, tender and juicy, with excellent taste qualities. The root crop mass ranges from 180 to 250 grams, and the commercial quality level reaches 96-98%. The variety is resistant to inflorescence and suitable for all types of processing, including long-term storage and chip preparation.
MARUSYA is characterized by high yield - from 5 to 7 kg per square meter, as well as good adaptability to various climatic conditions. Thanks to frost resistance and high germination, this variety is recommended for cultivation throughout Ukraine. Beet contains a large amount of trace elements, minerals and vitamins, which makes it beneficial for health and is especially valued as a dietary product for people with diabetes and obesity.
Growing the MARUSYA variety is carried out by direct sowing of seeds into the ground at the end of April - beginning of May with a row spacing of 25-30 cm. After seedlings appear, thinning is carried out, leaving 8-10 cm between plants. Plant care includes regular watering, weeding, loosening and feeding, which contributes to the formation of high-quality and high-yielding root crops.
