Description Anichka
Anichka — a high-yielding hybrid of sugar beet, adapted for cultivation across the entire sugar beet belt. The plant exhibits high resistance to nematodes, allowing successful cultivation even on infested areas. The hybrid demonstrates plasticity and moderate drought tolerance, growing well on various soil types provided there is sufficient agrofond and moisture, ensuring record-breaking root yields with high sugar content. The vegetation period lasts up to 120 days, and harvest begins in mid-to-late stages after soil warming to optimal temperature. Anichka forms cylindrical-conical shaped roots with relatively smooth surfaces, facilitating harvesting and reducing soil sticking. The average fruit weight reaches 700 grams; the root is deeply embedded in the soil, and its root system is taprooted, penetrating to a depth of 2-2.5 meters. Leaves are green, semi-spreading, with medium-sized leaf blades and moderately corrugated structure, held on medium-length petioles. The hybrid is resistant to diseases such as rhizomania, cercosporosis, powdery mildew, downy mildew, and root rot. Anichka is widely used in various sectors: in culinary applications for making borscht and kvass, as a non-waste feed crop, and for technical purposes in sugar and molasses production. Sowing seeds is recommended using specialized beet seeders in prepared soil at a seeding rate of 95-110 thousand germinated seeds per hectare. Thanks to its unique characteristics and resistance to adverse conditions, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality sugar beet yields.
