Description Silezja
Sugar beet of the Silezja variety is a high-yielding hybrid with high potential for yield and sugar content, reaching up to 19.4%. The root has a cylindrical or oval-conical shape, weighing about 700 grams, with a relatively smooth surface, which facilitates harvesting and reduces soil adhesion. The plant features a medium-sized dark green leaf rosette and a deep root system penetrating 2-2.5 meters into the soil, contributing to drought and cold resistance. Silezja exhibits high resistance to major diseases such as cercospora, powdery mildew, and root rot, as well as to temperature fluctuations. This allows cultivation in various climatic zones, including the forest-steppe and Polissia regions, and enables earlier planting. The vegetation period ranges from 120 to 145 days, corresponding to average maturity and ensuring good storage quality of the harvest. Sugar beet Silezja is versatile in application: it is used for sugar and syrup production, as well as in culinary applications for making borscht and kvass. Additionally, the variety serves as a by-product-free fodder crop. Thanks to its high adaptability to growing conditions and technologies, Silezja is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality and sustainable yields.
