Description Aspor
Aspor is a medium-maturing fodder beet variety with a maturation period of 105 to 130 days, intended for feeding livestock. The roots are cylindrical with juicy white flesh, distinguished by a high content of dry matter (up to 12-14%) and sugar. The upper part of the root and its crown are located above ground, facilitating harvest both manually and mechanically. The variety is characterized by high storability, transportability, and disease resistance, making it one of the most popular for cultivation as fodder in home gardens. Aspor is resistant to bolting and a number of diseases, including cercosporosis and yellowing virus. It tolerates drought well and is suitable for cultivation on poor soils. The roots have a shallow root furrow, which reduces soil contamination and simplifies harvesting. Root penetration into the soil is about 60%, allowing efficient mechanical harvesting after preliminary trimming of foliage. The fodder beet Aspor is rich in vitamins and microelements, making it an excellent feed for various livestock. For optimal results, it is recommended to plant it after cucumbers, early potatoes, or cabbage, under which organic fertilizers were applied. High-quality seeds, available from specialized stores, can be purchased wholesale with delivery, which is advantageous and convenient for agricultural producers.
