Rona 1

Sugarcane Sorghum Rona 1 is a medium-maturing sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) variety intended for agricultural use, particularly for obtaining high sugar content in the stalk. This variety is widely used in sugar and other product production due to its high sugar content, which ranges from 14 to 17 percent. Rona 1 is distinguished by its high green mass yield, reaching up to 1000 centners per hectare, making it profitable for agricultural production.

Plants of the Rona 1 variety reach a height of 270 to 350 centimeters, have long leaves of medium width with a gray-green coloration of the central vein. The inflorescences are oval-shaped and loose in structure, with medium-sized grains. The period of milk-to-wax maturity is approximately 95-100 days. The variety is characterized by intensive growth, which begins with the appearance of the 5-7th leaf, and possesses good resistance to extreme weather conditions such as drought and high temperatures, allowing successful cultivation in various climatic zones, including the Republic of Crimea.
