Ryegrass – a perennial grass, 40 to 80 cm high, which forms a dense and thick carpet of grass thanks to numerous short aerial shoots and erect stems. After each mowing, the plant recovers quickly, growing new lateral shoots, which ensures the stability of the lawn even with frequent mowing. The root system penetrates the soil not deeply, but is strongly branched, allowing the plant to withstand moderate droughts and frosts, as well as recover quickly after trampling by livestock.
The Ryegrass lawn is characterized by a bright green coloring and gloss, which is preserved until the end of autumn with proper care. The grass does not require frequent watering and easily withstands dry periods, which makes it ideal for use in conditions of limited water resources. With regular mowing, the height of the grass is maintained at the level of 5-10 cm, and the density of the coating remains high due to the active growth of lateral shoots.
Ryegrass is widely used both in gardening and landscaping, as well as in agriculture – for forming pastures, hay meadows and other green coverings. Seeds are easily sown, and after planting, the plant quickly takes root and begins to give a dense carpet, which is resistant to trampling and maintains an aesthetic appearance for several years with proper care.
