Ryegrass JAN

Danish Breeding Excellence

The «ЖАН» (JAN) ryegrass from the Danish breeding giant DLF is the choice for those seeking a balance between pasture productivity and the aesthetics of green space. Unlike highly specialized varieties, this ryegrass demonstrates rare plasticity: it is equally effective as a component of high-nutrient forage mixes and as a base for durable sports and decorative lawns.

Key Benefits

• Pathogen Resistance: Genetic protection against leaf spot and mosaic disease allows the turf to maintain its marketability and nutritional value even in high-humidity conditions, where other varieties quickly lose immunity.
• Longevity: Stable development for 4–5 years makes «ЖАН» a cost-effective investment, eliminating the need for frequent re-seeding.
• Ideal Height: The medium-growth profile (40–70 cm) ensures an optimal ratio of biomass to turf quality, which is critical for areas subject to intensive trampling or frequent mowing.

Who is this variety for?

«ЖАН» is an optimal solution for livestock farmers practicing grazing, as the variety recovers excellently after intensive cattle feeding. At the same time, its dense turf and high resistance to mechanical stress make it a favorite for landscaping sports grounds and professional lawns, where density and durability are paramount. This is a choice for professionals who demand predictable results in variable climates.
