KINGS GREEN – a ryegrass variety intended for the control of perennial grass weeds. This medium-maturing (FAO 221-240) tetraploid species establishes roots quickly and forms a dense mat, ensuring effective weed suppression.
The Kings Green ryegrass leaf blade is thin, dark- or bright-green with a glossy underside. The variety is characterized by high moisture-loving characteristics and good winter hardiness: at low temperatures it retains its green color and does not lose vitality. Thanks to rapid growth (first shoots appear within 5-13 days after sowing, and in optimal autumn conditions - as early as 5-6 days), the lawn is covered with dense green shoots in a short period.
KINGS GREEN prefers moist and well-drained soils. After planting, it quickly covers the soil surface, protecting the top layer from drying out and promoting moisture retention in the soil. This makes it a valuable component for creating durable lawns where both aesthetic appeal and erosion protection are required.
