Ryegrass Rapid

Engineered for High-Traffic Surfaces

"Rapid" perennial ryegrass is a specialized variety developed for sites where turf aesthetics must coexist with extreme physical durability. Bred by experts at the Williams FRC and the Moscow Breeding Station, this cultivar is engineered specifically for sports infrastructure and areas subject to constant foot traffic.

Operational Scenarios

• Sports Facilities: Designed for football pitches, tennis courts, and recreational zones. Rapid is frequently selected by groundskeepers for overseeding, allowing for rapid recovery of worn-out patches during the playing season.
• Intensive Maintenance: This variety handles frequent mowing exceptionally well, ensuring a dense, uniform sward in high-use urban environments.

Disease Resistance and Maintenance

Managing density in turf often leads to fungal issues; however, Rapid exhibits robust resistance to powdery mildew and red thread. This natural resilience reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, saving on maintenance costs and preserving the visual quality of the lawn throughout the season.

To achieve professional results, Rapid requires consistent irrigation and balanced nitrogen fertilization. Due to its vigorous growth habit, it is best suited for management plans that include regular nutrient replenishment, ensuring the turf remains lush and resilient under pressure.
