Ryegrass Pollanum

Premium low-growth ryegrass for aesthetic landscapes

The «Pollanum» variety by Deutsche Saatveredelung is a specialized solution for creating dense, well-maintained turfgrass areas. Engineered for low growth (20–40 cm), this variety is highly sought after for professional landscape projects where maintenance efficiency is as important as visual quality.

Operational benefits and lawn management

When selecting grass seeds for decorative purposes, balancing aesthetic appeal with maintenance effort is key. «Pollanum» offers several practical advantages for property managers and landscapers:

• Reduced maintenance: Its slow vertical growth habit significantly lowers the frequency of mowing, providing substantial savings in labor and equipment operation costs.
• Superior density: The variety forms a tight, robust sward that effectively outcompetes weeds and creates a lush, uniform green carpet.
• Durability: Developed by Deutsche Saatveredelung, this ryegrass displays excellent resilience to moderate traffic, ensuring the turf remains visually appealing throughout the season.

The high germination energy of this variety ensures quick establishment, making it a reliable choice for both new lawn installations and overseeding existing areas. Whether you are managing private gardens or commercial public spaces, «Pollanum» provides a stable, low-profile performance that is characteristic of premium German breeding. It performs best in well-lit, adequately watered areas where a manicured look must be maintained with minimal intervention.
