Rice Fokstrot

Foxtrot: Precision and Yield in Long-Grain Rice

The «Foxtrot» rice variety, marketed by «Uk National», is engineered for producers who prioritize yield consistency alongside high-marketability grain properties. Developed by the Poltavskaya Grain Company and agronomist Vasiliy Yakovlevich Ruban, this variety has established itself as a reliable performer in the long-grain segment, specifically valued for its performance during milling.

Technical Specifications

• Grain Type: Long-grain, a premium standard for both consumer retail and large-scale industrial processing.
• Productivity: Stable yield metrics between 8-9 tonnes per hectare under optimal management.
• Application: Optimized for high-quality grain production with low breakage rates during hulling.

What distinguishes «Foxtrot» from its peers is its adaptability. While many modern varieties struggle with fluctuating weather conditions during the vegetative stage, this variety shows a higher degree of resilience. It is designed to provide stable yields without requiring overly complex agronomic adjustments, making it a preferred choice for large-scale operations looking to minimize variability across multiple fields.

Optimal Performance Requirements

«Foxtrot» is best suited for professional farming operations that have perfected their irrigation and water management protocols. While the variety is genetically capable of hitting the 9 t/ha mark, this performance ceiling is strictly tied to water level consistency and nutrient timing. It is not an «easy-care» variety; rather, it is a high-performance tool for managers who prioritize crop discipline. For the processor, the variety remains a top choice because of its cooking qualities: the grains maintain their structure and remain distinct, a feature that ensures repeat demand in the retail market.
