The Ezida pumpkin variety is a large-fruited early-maturing type with a sprawling plant and a long main vine. The plant has large, dark green leaves that are slightly lobed. The fruits have a flat shape with grey skin adorned with pink spots and stripes, and are segmented with characteristic corky dots. The average fruit weight ranges from 3.4 to 5.5 kg, making them sufficiently large and convenient for various uses. Ezida pumpkin flesh is orange, medium thickness, crunchy, and medium density with good juiciness. The fruit taste is rated as excellent, allowing them to be used fresh, for making juices, purees, and various types of canning. The seed pod is of medium size with dense placentas, and the seeds are large, elliptical in shape, and light brown in color. The pumpkin is characterized by good transportability and can maintain its market quality for 140-180 days after harvest. The Ezida variety was created by free pollination of several pumpkin varieties followed by individual-family selection, which ensured high yield - up to 40.3 tons per hectare. The fruits ripen 4 days earlier than the standard Lечебная variety, allowing for earlier harvest. The chemical composition of the fruits includes 18.4% dry matter, 8.3% total sugars, 10.3 mg/100 g of carotene, and 17.7 mg/100 g of ascorbic acid, making the pumpkin beneficial and nutritious. The variety has passed state testing and is recommended for practical application.
