The 'Winter Sweet' squash variety is a late-season, high-yielding, and drought-resistant variety known for its high sweetness and excellent flavor. The vegetative period lasts approximately 120-130 days from seedling emergence to harvest. The plant is long-vining with powerful, spreading stems up to 3 meters long, forming a large number of fruit set that are protected by large leaves. This variety is distinguished by its resistance to common diseases, cold hardiness, and ease of care, making it suitable for open-ground cultivation. The fruits of 'Winter Sweet' squash are large, flat, and slightly flattened on the sides, with a medium-thick dark gray mottled rind. The weight of a single vegetable can reach from 7 to 12 kilograms. The flesh is bright orange, loose, very sugary, and juicy, making this variety especially valuable for culinary use. The squash contains a full complex of vitamins and trace elements, while being a low-calorie product. Due to its dietary properties and pleasant taste, the fruits are widely used for making baked goods, desserts, and baby food. The yield of the variety is high — up to 30 kg per square meter. Harvested fruits store well for a long time, maintaining their flavor and beneficial properties. Squash seeds are planted in open ground in May-June, and the harvest is usually conducted in September-October.
