Pumpkin WINTER SWEET

Field Management and Plant Habit

The 'Zimnyaya Sladkaya' variety is a vigorous grower with an indeterminate vine, demanding careful space management in the field. To maximize yield, ensure proper planting density to accommodate the expansive foliage. Efficient maintenance during the vegetative phase, including selective pruning, is essential to focus the plant's energy on fruit development rather than excessive vine growth.

Harvest and Handling

With individual fruits reaching 8–10 kg, the crop size is significant. The characteristic cylindrical shape with a swollen end provides a stable profile for stacking during storage and transport. The dark green stripes serve as a clear visual indicator of maturity, simplifying the harvest logistics and ensuring that only fully developed pumpkins are collected.

Storage Efficiency

The standout feature of this variety is its exceptional storage life. For operators, this translates to significantly lower overheads, as the fruits remain marketable for many months without the need for specialized climate-controlled facilities. This makes 'Zimnyaya Sladkaya' a strategic choice for extending the sales season and taking advantage of post-harvest price fluctuations without compromising product quality.
