Krasunya Polissia

Wheat variety Krasunya Polissia belongs to the erythrospermum group and is characterized by a medium-length, dense, pyramidal white ear. The stem is medium-thick and strong, and the flag leaf lacks anthocyanin coloration and waxy coating. The plant is of medium height, with red, egg-shaped, medium-sized kernels. The variety exhibits high resistance to lodging and shattering, rated at 8 points, and is resistant to root rot, septoria, fusarium, brown rust, and powdery mildew at levels of 6-7 points. The recommended seeding rate is 5.0-6.0 million germinating seeds per hectare.

During the years 2018-2022, Krasunya Polissia demonstrated high resistance to various diseases and pests, including cereal aphids and wheat thrips, confirmed by resistance ratings of 8-9 points. In particular, in 2021, the variety was not affected by fusarium of the ear, indicating its reliable protection against this disease. High resistance to diseases and pests contributes to stable yields even under changing climate and adverse weather conditions.

Krasunya Polissia is characterized by good yield and is adapted to various agroclimatic conditions. Its resistance to lodging and shattering ensures yield retention, while high disease resistance reduces the need for fungicides and insecticides. Thanks to these qualities, the variety is suitable for cultivation in various regions and can be used in both traditional and intensive farming, ensuring a stable and high-quality wheat harvest.
