TULUNSKY EARLY

Tulunsky Early potato is a Russian table variety characterized by early maturity — from 50 to 65 days. The tubers have red skin and white flesh with a red-purple eye, as well as small eyes. The average weight of marketable tubers ranges from 120 to 150 grams, with the number of tubers per plant varying from 8 to 12. Starch content is within 13–16%, making this variety versatile for various culinary purposes, including boiling and frying. Taste quality is rated from average to good, and tuber storability reaches 89%, ensuring crop preservation during storage.

The variety has high yield, ranging from 300 to 480 centners per hectare, and marketability reaches 94–96%. It shows resistance to Rhizoctonia and potato late blight (pathotype I), but has moderate susceptibility to dry Fusarium rot. However, Tulunsky Early is severely affected by phytophthora, common scab, and viral diseases, requiring careful care and preventive measures during cultivation. It is also susceptible to golden potato nematode.
