Tubers have oval-round shape with small eyes, light beige skin and white flesh. The weight of marketable tubers ranges from 100 to 156 grams, with starch content from 13.0 to 15.4%. The plant is of medium height, intermediate type, semi-upright form, with green medium to large leaves. The flower is small with intense anthocyanin coloration on the inner side.
The Bluebird variety is characterized by high market yield, ranging from 193 to 301 centners per hectare, with maximum yield reaching 324 centners per hectare, exceeding standard indicators. Tubers marketability is 77–91%, and storability reaches 94%, ensuring good storage and product preservation. Taste qualities are rated as good to excellent, culinary type B, making this potato versatile for soups, boiling, and frying.
Bluebird exhibits resistance to several diseases, including potato cancer, golden potato cyst nematode, as well as crinkly and striped mosaic. Additionally, the variety shows moderate resistance to late blight of foliage and tubers, enhancing its reliability in cultivation. Preferred regions for cultivation are the Volga-Vyatka region, where the variety demonstrates the best yield and resistance performance.
