Sunflower UltraSol

Stable yields with minimal risks

Choosing a sunflower hybrid is always about balancing potential yield with cultivation efficiency. Monsanto's "Ultrasol" is a simple hybrid designed for farms that prioritize weed control without compromising crop health.

Technological Profile

The key practical advantage of "Ultrasol" is its full genetic compatibility with imidazolinone herbicides (the Clearfield or "Euro-Lightning" system). For an agronomist, this means:

• Tough Weed Control: Effective elimination of broomrape, ragweed, and thistles, which are difficult to manage with traditional soil herbicides.
• Reduced Stress: The plant exhibits high tolerance to the active substance, allowing for application at the 2-4 true leaf stage without stunting sunflower growth.
• Clean Fields: Minimizing mechanical inter-row cultivation preserves soil moisture during critical vegetative periods.

Field Application

Practical experience shows that "Ultrasol" performs best when seeding density is optimized based on regional moisture availability. The hybrid demonstrates excellent crop uniformity, which simplifies combine header settings and reduces harvesting losses. Using this Monsanto model is highly recommended for fields with high weed pressure where obtaining consistent results across the entire field is paramount.

This hybrid is a solid choice for farms utilizing intensive farming techniques that require predictable performance under challenging phytosanitary conditions.
