The weight of marketable tubers ranges from 98 to 147 grams, with starch content from 11.0 to 15.0%. The variety is characterized by high marketability (79-94%) and excellent storage life (95%).
Vegetation period is 65-70 days, with the first harvest possible as early as the 45th day after emergence. The yield of variety Lux ranges from 193 to 432 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 569 centners, significantly exceeding the yields of several standard varieties. The number of tubers per plant ranges from 8 to 13. This potato is suitable for various culinary purposes, including salads, soups, and frying, due to its good to excellent taste and culinary type AB.
Variety Lux exhibits resistance to several diseases, including potato cancer, golden potato cyst nematode, and crinkly and striped mosaic. However, it is moderately susceptible to late blight on foliage and susceptible on tubers. High disease resistance, excellent taste, attractive appearance, and high yield make this variety an attractive choice for agricultural production and successful business.
