PREDSLAVA

The potato variety 'Predslava' belongs to the mid-early maturing group with a maturity period of 70–75 days. Tubers have a round-oval shape, medium-large, weighing up to 200 grams. The skin is smooth and yellow, while the flesh is white. The eye depth is medium, which facilitates peeling. The variety is characterized by high starch content — from 14.3% to 18% — making it especially suitable for preparing creamy and flavorful dishes, such as mashed potatoes.

Predslava is intended for table use and exhibits good yield, reaching 38–45 tons per hectare. It is adapted for cultivation on loamy and chernozem soils and is recommended for the Polissia and forest-steppe regions. The variety is drought-resistant, enhancing its reliability under various climatic conditions.

In terms of disease resistance, Predslava shows moderate resistance to late blight of leaves and tubers, as well as to ring rot and stem nematode. It is also resistant to scab, common race of potato cyst nematode, and possesses good resistance to mechanical damage. These qualities make the variety reliable and convenient to grow, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield.
