NK Alego hybrid sunflower is a mid-early maturing variety with a maturity period of 105–110 days, developed by Syngenta and adapted for cultivation in all agroclimatic zones of Ukraine, including steppe and forest-steppe regions. Plants reach a height of 150–160 cm and are characterized by high early growth rate during organogenesis, which contributes to stable yield formation. The hybrid has high yield potential — up to 50 centners per hectare, and oil content in seeds reaches 50%, making it attractive for producers focused on quality raw material. NK Alego exhibits high resistance to major diseases and pests, including A–E cutworms, fomopsis, and white mold, with resistance ratings of 9 points. Additionally, the hybrid shows high drought tolerance (7 points) and lodging resistance (8 points), ensuring reliable yields under varying weather conditions. An important feature is its compatibility with Clearfield technology, allowing effective weed and cutworm control using the herbicide Euro-Lighting, which significantly simplifies agronomic operations. To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to maintain optimal planting density — 42–47 thousand plants per hectare, avoid excessive nitrogen fertilizer application, and follow classical soil preparation techniques. Adhering to these agronomic recommendations promotes the development of a strong root system and optimal plant growth, ultimately ensuring high yield and product quality. NK Alego is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality sunflower harvest.
