The variety 'Veteran' has high and stable yield, reaching marketable yields of 229 to 335 centners per hectare, with maximum yields up to 360 centners per hectare. Tubers have a marketability of 83% to 97%, and storability reaches 95%, indicating good product preservation during storage. The taste of the potatoes is rated as good to excellent, making it attractive to consumers and producers. The variety exhibits resistance to potato late blight, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss from this disease. However, it is susceptible to golden potato cyst nematode. According to phytopathological studies, 'Veteran' is moderately susceptible to Phytophthora blight on foliage and moderately resistant on tubers. These characteristics make it a reliable choice for farmers seeking high-quality, high-yield potatoes in the Far East.
