Legend

The potato variety 'Legend' is a high-yielding and early-maturing table variety developed by specialists of the Ural Scientific Research Center. The vegetation period is approximately 112-117 days, and the first tubers begin to ripen as early as 50-60 days after planting. The plant features a compact, low or medium-growing bush with upright stems and dark green open-type leaves. The flowers have a red-purple hue, giving the plant decorative appeal.

The tubers of the 'Legend' variety have a regular oval shape with pink or red skin and light-yellow flesh that does not darken upon thermal processing. The average tuber weight ranges from 90 to 191 grams, with a marketability of up to 80%. The skin surface is slightly rough with shallow red eyes. The starch content is within 11.2-14.0%, ensuring excellent taste and versatility in culinary applications. This potato is suitable for boiling, frying, baking, stuffing, and making French fries.

The variety exhibits high resistance to major potato diseases, including late blight, golden potato cyst nematode, and striped and crinkly mosaic. Thanks to its strong immunity and adaptability, 'Legend' thrives under various growing conditions and has high storage capacity, making it an excellent choice for both farmers and home gardeners.
