Potato Gart

A Reliable Choice for Table Potato Production

The «Hart» variety from Poliska DS named after O.M. Zasukhin is a go-to solution for farms prioritizing harvest consistency and predictability within the changing climate conditions of Ukraine. As a table potato variety, it acts as a reliable workhorse, blending excellent culinary properties with strong field resistance to key pathogens.

Protection and Agronomy

The core advantage of «Hart» lies in its multi-layered resistance. In conditions of high humidity and temperature fluctuations, where the risk of fungal and bacterial outbreaks is high, this variety shows excellent resilience against:

• Alternaria and brown spot;
• Late blight and common scab;
• Bacterial spot.

Practical application of this variety allows for significant optimization of fungicide costs. Farms choose «Hart» specifically to minimize the risk of tuber appearance loss due to scab, which is essential for retail market success where product visual quality is paramount.

Cultivation Scenarios

«Hart» is optimal for intensive farming practices using standard agrotechnological workflows. Thanks to its robust defense system, the variety maintains steady market weight gain even under moderate crop protection protocols. During storage, the variety demonstrates excellent shelf life, making it a flexible asset for growers who do not intend to sell their entire harvest immediately after lifting.

For an agronomist, «Hart» represents predictability. If your objective is to harvest high-quality table potatoes with minimal disease-related losses and high marketability, this variety will serve as a reliable foundation for your crop rotation.
