GARANT — a mid-late maturing potato variety for table use, with oval-round tubers, characterized by high yield and high starch content. The maturing period is 95–110 days, allowing for a stable harvest at optimal times. Tubers have yellow, smooth skin and creamy flesh, with starch content ranging from 18.5–21.5%, making the variety suitable for various culinary purposes. The average weight of marketable tubers varies from 95 to 132 grams, and the number of tubers per plant reaches 6–10. Tubers have high storability — 85–98% — ensuring good preservation during storage.

The plant has medium height and a semi-upright growth habit, with medium-sized green leaves. The variety is resistant to several diseases, including potato cancer, leaf curl virus, crinkle and streak mosaic, as well as phytophthora to a moderate degree. However, it is susceptible to infection by golden cyst nematode. Due to its resistance and quality characteristics, GARANT is suitable for both table consumption and technical processing.

GARANT potato is ideal for making mashed potatoes, baking, as well as for producing starch, crispy potatoes, and other potato products. Its culinary type D provides excellent flavor, making it popular both for home and industrial use. Recommended planting in May, at a depth of 8–10 cm, with a spacing of 70 x 35 cm, which promotes optimal plant development and high yields, reaching 191–250 c/ha.
