• Canopy Structure: The upright growth habit minimizes leaf overlapping, improving aeration within the row, which effectively reduces the humidity levels that trigger blight.
• Tuber Uniformity: The variety produces uniform, oval-shaped tubers with a smooth skin finish, which simplifies industrial washing and grading processes. This physical consistency is crucial for reducing waste during automated sorting.
• Chemical Profile: With a starch content ranging from 13% to 16%, the variety ensures high culinary stability, maintaining texture during thermal processing and resisting darkening.

Agronomic Potential

A key technical strength of «Avangard» is its genetic resistance to the golden potato cyst nematode, making it an essential choice for fields with high pest pressure. In production trials, the variety exhibited a consistent uptake of nitrogenous fertilizers, showing no predisposition to excessive nitrate accumulation. Its root system is optimized for efficient moisture absorption, providing stability even in regions prone to periodic soil moisture deficits, making it a reliable solution for professional potato production in challenging weather conditions.
