The tubers of this variety have an oval shape and large size, weighing between 110 and 270 grams each. The skin is smooth and yellow, and the flesh is also yellow, giving dishes an appealing appearance. The starch content of the tubers ranges from 13.5% to 14.5%, making this variety especially suitable for preparing creamy and flavorful dishes.

CATANIA is distinguished by high resistance to major potato diseases, such as late blight of tubers and leaves, as well as scab. Additionally, the variety is resistant to mechanical damage, which simplifies its transportation and storage. For cultivation, sandy soils are recommended, and the tuber eyes are shallow, which simplifies planting and care of the plants.
