Tophit

The Tophit plum variety is a late-ripening, high-yielding German selection, suitable for both private gardens and commercial cultivation. The tree is weakly growing, reaching up to 4 meters in height, with a dense, spherical crown. Fruit-bearing begins on the 3rd-4th year after planting and is characterized by regularity and abundance. Self-fertile, it does not require additional pollination, simplifying care and increasing fruiting stability. Tophit is distinguished by high winter hardiness and resistance to various diseases, making it a promising variety for cultivation throughout Ukraine.

Tophit plum fruits are large, egg-shaped, weighing 50–100 grams, covered with a dark blue hue and a white bloom. The flesh is amber or yellow, firm, juicy, and sweet with a slight acidity, giving the fruit a pleasant taste. The stone separates easily, facilitating use in fresh form and processing. Harvesting occurs at the end of September to mid-October, allowing for late-season collection.

For successful cultivation, select sunny areas protected from cold winter winds, with fertile and well-drained soils. High fruit transportability makes this variety attractive for commercial production and distribution.
