Cherry variety "Chudo-Vishnya" is a high-yielding early-ripening variety, obtained by crossing cherry and peach. This variety was developed by breeders L.V. Tarankenko and A.V. Sychov at the Donetsk Experimental Station of Horticulture. Trees are medium-sized with a broad oval crown resembling a cherry crown, and branch arrangement similar to peach. Large buds on branches also resemble peach buds. Flowering begins in early May, when branches are covered with large white buds.
The fruits of "Chudo-Vishnya" are large — up to 15 grams, with dark red, saturated skin and light flesh with veins. The flesh is sweet, without acidity, and has a distinct aroma combining peach and cherry notes. The variety is characterized by early ripening — fruits are ready for harvest in the last decade of June. The taste evaluation reaches 4.7 out of 5, confirming the high taste quality of the berries.
The tree is frost-resistant, resistant to fungal diseases, develops well, and begins fruiting as early as the third year after planting. The variety consistently yields a stable and abundant harvest. Due to its characteristics, "Chudo-Vishnya" is an excellent choice for gardeners wishing to obtain large, tasty, and aromatic berries early in the season.
