October Sun Plum is a late-ripening variety of American selection, characterized by high cold resistance and disease resistance, making it suitable for cultivation in all regions of Ukraine. The tree is medium-sized with a rounded crown shape; the height of a mature plant can reach 4-5 meters depending on the pruning method. For successful fruiting, pollinators such as Angelino, Freedom, or Byron Gold are required.

The fruits of the October Sun variety are large, weighing from 65 to 90 grams, oval or elongated-round in shape with an attractive yellow-pink color. The flesh is yellow, tender, juicy, and very sweet, with a sugar content on the Brix scale of 18 to 20 degrees. The flavor is tangy-sweet with a pleasant aroma, and the stone separates easily, making this plum one of the best dessert varieties. The fruits have high commercial value, good transportability, and a long storage life — up to 30-40 days after harvest.
