Description Best 1
Plum variety Best 1, also known as Top Hit, is a late-ripening German selection, suitable for cultivation in various regions, including Ukraine. The tree is medium-sized with a pyramidal, not overly dense crown, reaching a height of 3-4 meters. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness, tolerating temperatures down to -30°C, as well as resistance to major diseases, making it a reliable choice for gardeners and commercial plantations. Fruit production begins on the 3rd-4th year after planting, with yields reaching up to 80 kg per mature tree.

The fruits of plum Best 1 are large, weighing from 60 to 100 grams, oval or egg-shaped, dark blue or dark purple in color with a characteristic white bloom. The flesh is yellow, juicy, with a well-balanced sour-sweet taste, highly valued for both fresh consumption and processing. The stone separates easily from the flesh, facilitating use in cooking. Fruits ripen at the end of September to the beginning of October, allowing for an extended harvest season.

For successful cultivation of this variety, it is recommended to select sunny areas with fertile, well-drained soil, protected from cold winds. Plum Best 1 is self-fertile and does not require additional pollinators, simplifying garden care. Due to the high transportability of the fruits and stable annual yields, this variety is promising for cultivation both on private plots and in commercial orchards.
