LUBEZNAYA

The Lubeznaya plum variety represents a home-grown late-ripening variety intended for cultivation in the Central region. The tree is of medium growth with a slightly spreading crown of medium density, predominantly fruiting on fruit spurs. The trunk bark is gray and peeling, shoots are straight and brown, while leaves are of medium size, inversely obovate in shape with a serrated edge and a shiny green surface. Inflorescences are umbellate, double, with white flowers and wide-elliptic petals. Lubeznaya variety fruits have a medium mass of about 23-30 grams, elongated-pyramidal shape with a flat profile, and are colored in a green main color with a blue-purple waxy tinge. The skin is of medium roughness, hairless with a strong waxy coating, fine gray subcutaneous dots are present on the surface. The flesh is orange, of medium roughness, juicy and fibrous, with colorless juice. The pit is of medium size, flattened or ovoid, and separates easily from the flesh. The fruit taste is sour-sweet, of dessert direction, with a tasting rating of 4.7 points. Vitamin C content is about 9.9 mg%, sugars — 11.5%, acidity — 1.7%. The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching an average of 129.2 centners per hectare, as well as good winter hardiness and adaptability to the climatic conditions of the Central region. Lubeznaya is resistant to diseases such as polystigmosis and moniliosis, as well as damage from codling moth. Due to the high transportability of fruits, this variety is popular among gardeners and is suitable for cultivation in regions with a temperate climate.
