Description KHABAROVSKAYA YANTARNAYA
The Khabarovskaya Yantarnaya plum is a medium-sized tree with an erect crown of medium density and a peeling gray bark on the trunk. The leaves are of medium size, elliptical in shape with a sharply pointed tip and finely serrated edges, featuring a green shiny color and lacking pubescence. The flowers are small, white, and gathered in double inflorescences. Fruit formation is primarily located on bouquet shoots, which promotes good fruiting. The tree is characterized by winter hardiness up to -38.1 °C and resistance to certain diseases, such as polytistigmosis and clasterosporiosis, as well as low susceptibility to plum fruit moth. The fruits of the Khabarovskaya Yantarnaya plum are oval in shape, of medium size — approximately 34 grams, with a bright green base color and a yellow overlay tone. The skin is of medium coarseness, smooth, without a waxy coating, and easily peels off the fruit. The flesh is yellow, of medium coarseness, juicy and aromatic, with colorless juice. The pit is of medium size, egg-shaped, and separates well from the flesh, which facilitates fruit consumption and processing. The taste of the fruits is sweet with a rich aroma, with a tasting score reaching 4.5 points, confirming the high quality of the variety. The Khabarovskaya Yantarnaya plum ripens at the end of July — beginning of August, which allows for its universal use: for fresh consumption, processing, and transportation. The variety is characterized by high yield — approximately 113 centners per hectare, as well as drought resistance and unpretentiousness to growing conditions. Thanks to these characteristics and excellent transportability, the Khabarovskaya Yantarnaya plum is an attractive choice for gardeners and commercial fruit producers.
